Aurora Borealis bio:
Aurora Borealis originated when Ron Vento parted ways with his former band, Lestregus Nosferatus and found drummer Tony Laureano. In 1996, they recorded the first CD, "Mansions OF Eternity." The CD was recorded, mixed, and mastered at Morrisound Studios by Scott Burns.
In 1998, Aurora Borealis started working on the first full length album. "Praise The Archaic Lights Embrace,” was recorded at The Sound Lab with Bob Moore. Drummer Derek Roddy was Recruited for this album due to conflicts in scheduling with Tony Laureano. Bassist Jason Ian Vaughn Eckert was also added to the line up.
The third CD, “Northern Lights,” was recorded in 2000, at Ron’s personal / commercial studio, Nightsky Studios. For this album, the band decided to sign with Die Hard Music, and Derek Roddy was in the drum position again.
In 2002, Ron started work on the fourth CD, entitled "Time Unveiled.” it also was recorded at Nightsky Studios, and released on both Die Hard Music and Nightsky Productions. This time the Bass position was the same however drummer Tim Yeung was added to the line up.
“Relinquish," the band’s fifth CD, was completed in 2006, The CD was recorded at Nightsky Studios and released solely by Nightsky Productions. This album saw Drummer Tony Laureano ruined with the band.
In 2011 “Timeline: The Beginning & End of Everything,” was recorded at Nightsky Recording Studios and released by Nightsky Productions. Yet a new drummer was added again and this time it was Mark Green.
2013, and Aurora Borealis’s seventh album, “World Shapers.” was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Ron Vento at Nightsky Studios and came out in early 2014, released by Xtreem Music. The Line up remained the same .
Aurora Borealis returns in 2018 with "Apokalupsis" it was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Ron again, at Nightsky Studios. It was released 2018, through Beverina / Casusbelli Musica. Although the drummer remained mark green a new bass player Eddie Rossi was added to the bass position.
2022 marked the bands signing with Hammerheart Records for the release of “Prophecy Is The Mold in Which History is Poured”. The line up remained consistent to the previous album. As before It was Recorded mixed and mastered at Nightsky Studios.
So marks 2025 and the band recorded its latest record, “Disillusioned By The Illusion” and parted ways with Hammerheart and signed a records deal at Non Serviam Records.
